Job summary

Rock Spring Contracting, LLC is seeking a Safety Coordinator to promote a safe, compliant work environment on commercial construction sites. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, site inspections, training delivery, and proactive safety program support.

The coordinator will work with project teams to identify hazards, lead incident investigations, and ensure adherence to safety standards across all trades. A valid driver’s license and OSHA/CPR certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (oral and written).
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices.
• Experience in construction safety or risk management preferred.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hazard control planning with multiple departments.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, VOSH, MOSH and company safety policies.
• Represent the company during safety inspections and client communications.
• Perform safety observations, inspections and audits; report unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead investigation of near misses and incidents; develop corrective actions.
• Conduct bilingual safety training for employees in English and Spanish.
• Provide first-aid and ensure proper reporting and documentation.
• Assist with additional safety-related tasks and projects as needed.
