Job summary

Engineering Design Systems, Inc. is seeking a Community Workforce Connector (Spanish bilingual) to link job seekers with PA CareerLink services across Philadelphia. You will manage participant caseloads, assist with eligibility determinations, and support apprenticeship and training referrals.

You will collaborate with community partners, deliver workshops, maintain documentation in CWDS, and travel within the Philadelphia region, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant field.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, customer service skills.
• Experience managing workforce or community-based projects and WIOA programs preferred.
• Ability to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Connect PA CareerLink services to individuals in community organizations where we are co-located.
• Represent PA CareerLink at community events and job fairs.
• Promote PA CareerLink services and increase community awareness through presentations to the Workforce system.
• Complete WIOA eligibility determination, enrollment, and case management, and develop Individual Employment Plans (IEPs).
• Provide career counseling, resume development, interview preparation, job search assistance, and career pathway guidance; coach participants toward employment, credential attainment, and career advancement.
• Coordinate referrals to training providers, apprenticeship opportunities, supportive services, vocational programs, and partner agencies; maintain active caseloads with timely follow-up and participant engagement.
• Promote apprenticeship programs, OJT, and career pathway initiatives.
• Lead assigned workforce initiatives and special projects from planning through completion, assisting the Special Projects Coordinator in ensuring all projects are delivered within scope, timeline, budget, and performance expectations.
• Travel frequently throughout the Philadelphia region and work in both office and community-based settings, including occasional evenings and weekends.
