Job Description:Community Workforce Connector/Bilingual (Spanish)Classification: Non-ExemptReports to: Community Services Manager/Special Projects ManagerSalary: $52,000/yrScope of PositionThe Workforce Connector is responsible for expanding access to workforce development services by connecting job seekers, employers, and community partners to workforce services. This position requires Labor Exchange and WIOA registrations. The connector will manage participant caseloads and connect participants to employment and/or training.The Workforce Connector maintains relationships with community organizations, provides workshops and case management to Special Initiatives, and assists with project implementation, connecting qualified job seekers with employer hiring needs and performance tracking. This position is also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation in CWDS and other reporting systems and ensuring compliance with workforce policiesEssential ResponsibilitiesConnect PA CareerLink services to individuals in community organizations where we are co-locatedRepresent PA CareerLink at community events and job fairsPromote PA CareerLink services and increase community awareness through presentations to the Workforce systemComplete WIOA eligibility determination, enrollment, and case management, and develop Individual Employment Plans (IEPs)Provide career counseling, resume development, interview preparation, job search assistance, and career pathway guidance; coach participants toward employment, credential attainment, and career advancementCoordinate referrals to training providers, apprenticeship opportunities, supportive services, vocational programs, and partner agencies; maintain active caseloads with timely follow-up and participant engagementPromote apprenticeship programs, OJT, and career pathway initiativesLead assigned workforce initiatives and special projects from planning through completion, assisting the Special Projects Coordinator in ensuring all projects are delivered within scope, timeline, budget, and performance expectationsSupport Special Projects recruitment, orientation, and workshopsMonitoring participants' success during the initiative’s cohortAccurately document all participants' outcomes for all initiatives in CWDS dailyResponsible for data tracking of every service provided as a daily requirement using the data and PIRL guidanceComplete required reports within established deadlines; monitor performance metrics and recommend corrective actions when necessaryMaintain organized electronic and paper records of WIOA and LX documentsTravel frequently throughout the Philadelphia region and work in both office and community-based settings, including occasional evenings and weekendsQualificationsBilingual (English/Spanish) requiredBachelor’s degree in Workforce Development, Human Services, Social Work, Education, Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be consideredExcellent written, verbal, presentation, customer service, and relationship-building skills; ability to work independently and collaborativelyExperience managing workforce or community-based projects, working with WIOA programs, facilitating workshops, and building employer and community partnerships preferredExperience in case managementDemonstrated project management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesDemonstrated cultural competency and commitment to serving diverse populations; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePointAbility to travel frequently throughout the Philadelphia region; reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license preferredAbility to work occasional evenings and weekendsEDSI is an equal opportunity employer.
