Job summary

The Atlanta Community Food Bank Inc seeks a Communications Center Coordinator to be the neighbor-facing hub for food assistance and related resources. This role blends customer service, appointment coordination, and delivery logistics to connect neighbors with services across our Community Food Centers.

You will work in a hybrid setting at our East Point location, handling intake, profiles, scheduling, and problem solving, while partnering with drivers and platform tools like Excel and K-Launch

Qualifications

• Exceptional Customer Service: deliver outstanding service through effective communication, empathy and problem-solving.
• Initiative and organization in managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
• Ability to handle multiple platforms and tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient with Excel, K-Launch, Amazon and DoorDash for data accuracy and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for neighbors through inbound and outbound phone interactions.
• Respond to questions related to food assistance, donations, volunteer opportunities, benefits, and resources.
• Build rapport with neighbors and take ownership of resolving questions or concerns.
• Schedule appointments for neighbors at four Community Food Centers in Atlanta, Marietta, Jonesboro, and Stone Mountain.
• Create and maintain accurate neighbor profiles to support access to CFC services and deliveries.
• Coordinate food deliveries with Amazon and DoorDash drivers; ensure timely delivery.
• Generate and maintain delivery sheets using Microsoft Excel.
• Identify and resolve issues related to appointments or deliveries; communicate delays and offer alternatives.
• Manage K-Launch for neighbor communication and scheduling; maintain workflows in the platform.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, technology, and communication methods.
