Austin Telco FCU is hiring a Collector in Austin, TX. You will manage delinquent loan accounts, communicate with members, and document actions to protect the credit union's interests.

Qualified candidates have at least six months in financial services, are bilingual in Spanish and English, and demonstrate discretion, empathy, and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Six months of experience in a bank, credit union, or financial institution.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
• Strong interpersonal communication with members regarding financial matters.
• Confidentiality and integrity when handling financial information.
• Organized with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Maintain daily follow-up on past due accounts and ensure queue compliance.
• Use telephone and email to assist members regarding delinquent accounts.
• Counsel members on credit standing and resolving delinquent balances.
• Maintain professionalism, empathy, and discretion with distressed members.
• Mail letters regarding late payments on delinquent accounts.
• Research delinquent accounts for posting errors; obtain credit reports.
• Prepare loan documents for scanning and assist with daily mail.
• Refer to AVP of Collections for problem accounts and complete trainings.
