Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is seeking a Case Manager I for La Jornada to manage timely assessments and service plans for children in care. You will upload documents to ORR’s UC Portal, maintain comprehensive case files, and support CQI initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or related field, bilingual English/Spanish fluency, and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social services.
• Child welfare/case management experience encouraged.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/evenings on call.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate case management services for children in care under the Lead Case Manager.
• Maintain active caseload and work on sponsorship and reunification processes.
• Ensure case assessments submitted within ORR timelines and maintain required files.
• Coordinate referrals to external care providers and health interpretation/translation services.
• Conduct initial intake interviews with youth and liaise with sponsors/families as needed.
• Provide weekly updates to youth and family members and mentor junior case managers.
