Job summary

The Case Manager for La Jornada is a child welfare professional responsible for the completion and submission of timely assessments and service plans, ensuring document uploads into ORR’s UC Portal and maintaining required comprehensive case files compliant with ORR Policy and NYAP’s CQI Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services or social services fields.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required; fluency in Spanish strongly preferred.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/evenings to facilitate program services.
• Proficient with desktop and laptop computers, smartphones/tablets, printers, and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate case management services for children in care under the Lead Case Manager.
• Maintain active caseload and manage sponsorship and reunification processes.
• Ensure case management assessments are completed within ORR timeframes.
• Coordinate referrals to external care providers and communicate with stakeholders.
