Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program seeks a Case Manager for La Jornada in Naperville, IL. This role manages timely assessments, service plans, and documentation uploads in ORR portals, adhering to NYAP CQI standards and policy.

The position requires a 4-year degree, child welfare/case management experience, ability to work flexible hours, and fluency in English and Spanish. Travel may be required to support reunification efforts and coordination with external providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services or social services fields.
• Child welfare and/or case management experience is desirable.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/evenings.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle with adequate insurance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate case management services for children in care under the direction of the Lead Case Manager.
• Maintain an active caseload and manage sponsorship and reunification processes.
• Ensure assessments are completed within ORR timeframes.
• Coordinate referrals to external care providers and maintain stakeholder communication.
• Provide weekly updates to youth and families and support volunteers and foster caregivers.
• Assist with Know Your Rights presentations and legal screenings for youth in care.
