Job summary

New Orleans Family Justice Center in New Orleans seeks a dynamic Bilingual Case Manager fluent in Spanish to serve as the primary contact for clients seeking services. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, strong communication, and coordinating with partner agencies to assess needs and explain resources.

Responsibilities include intake, case planning, safety planning, referrals, follow-up, and documentation, plus training participation and strict guideline adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and one-year case management experience in human services, social work, public health, or related field.
• Ability to communicate compassionately with people from diverse cultures & backgrounds.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills, & at least basic computer literacy skills required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients warmly to the NOFJC and establish rapport to make them feel at ease.
• Complete intake process when requested.
• Assess and conduct case planning with the client.
• Review all available services with clients and link clients to partners for additional services.
• Complete comprehensive safety planning with every client.
• Assist in completing petitions for temporary restraining orders under supervision.
• Provide follow-up services to clients including check-up calls, court accompaniment, coordination of services with other providers, and ongoing referrals.
• Review and ensure that all documents are in compliance with program requirements and NOFJC guidelines.
• Generate required forms, reports and other intake documents.
• Work collaboratively with staff to ensure frontline coverage (reception, lobby, play land).
• Attend relevant meetings and trainings as requested by the Director of Client Services.
• Complete 40 hours of domestic violence and sexual assault training in the first year; 30 hours annually thereafter.
• Collaborate with NOFJC partners as a team member.
• Perform other job-related duties as needed.
