Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina is seeking a Career Navigator III to support program participants in achieving economic mobility. You will develop career plans, set goals around education, training, employment, and resources to ensure placement and job retention.

This role emphasizes community outreach, building partnerships with external resources for participant referrals, case management, and coordination across programs to expand opportunities for participants.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in Spanish and able to communicate effectively.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking and time management abilities.
• Understanding of policies and programs within community services.
• Active listener with strong soft skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and meeting deadlines.
• Understanding of Goodwill’s brand and program goals.
• Working knowledge of MD/DD and therapeutic methodology.
• Travel up to 25-50% is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees participants and compliance in specialized programs, such as Hispanic Outreach.
• Ensures policies and procedures for the assigned program are followed.
• Provides case management, outreach, and coordination with other programs.
• Forms and builds relationships with area businesses to develop partnerships.
• Uses CaseWorthy to develop career plans for clients receiving services.
• Completes reports for external and internal stakeholders.
• Maintains a strong network of community ties and referral sources.
• Prepares presentations using Microsoft Office and facilitates trainings.
