Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina seeks a Career Navigator III - Compliance Specialist to oversee participants and ensure program compliance under WIOA guidelines. You will monitor activities, review records, and provide guidance to staff and partners to maintain data accuracy and regulatory alignment.

The role requires travel within Wilkes, Watauga, Ashe and Alleghany counties and the ability to operate from a home office assigned by the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience will be considered.
• At least 1 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Excellent communication—written and verbal.
• Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor WIOA program activities to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct file reviews and monitoring visits to assess program performance and documentation accuracy.
• Provide technical assistance and compliance guidance to workforce development staff and partners.
• Review eligibility determinations, case management records, and supportive service documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify compliance risks and develop action plans to address findings and improve program compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of WIOA regulations, guidance, and reporting requirements.
• Analyze program data and performance metrics to ensure data integrity and support regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with leadership and partners to promote continuous quality improvement.
• Prepare compliance reports, monitoring summaries, and recommendations for management review.
• Utilizes and navigates the NCWorks database to ensure program compliance
