Job summary

33 USA Inc. is seeking a results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive North American growth, combining BD strategy with client services to maximize lifetime value.

You will lead the sales cycle, nurture key accounts, and bridge Japanese content with the global market in a bilingual capacity. As a manager, you will own revenue targets, mentor BD Leads, and collaborate with leadership to align US-market efforts with Japan HQ.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Business Development, Account Management, or Sales in Marketing/Entertainment.
• Native-level proficiency in English and Japanese.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets ($1M+ annual portfolio management experience preferred).
• Deep understanding of the US & Japanese entertainment landscape (Anime, Manga, Gaming) and marketing agency business models.
• 2+ years of leadership experience mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Development: define sales strategy and acquisition.
• Oversee the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing for North America.
• Identify and negotiate partnerships including licensing deals and AOR agreements.
• Represent the company at key industry events to build a network of decision-makers.
• Account Management & Client Success: provide long-term marketing consultancy and upsell services.
• Manage account profitability, forecasting, and contract negotiations.
• Lead and coach BD Leads and collaborate with Marketing, Creative, and Project teams.
