Job summary

Universal Processing LLC (uP) is seeking a Business Development Associate for a fully on-site, five-day workweek in the Chicago area. You will be the first point of contact for clients and act as a brand ambassador by presenting our fintech solutions.

A one-month paid training program is provided, with growth and opportunity in a dynamic sales team. The role requires bilingual English–Mandarin proficiency, strong communication and negotiation capabilities, and a drive to exceed sales targets.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire (E-Verify).
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin-Chinese is required; must be able to read and write in both.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Prior sales or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, detail orientation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to be well-spoken and connect with clients over the phone.
• Aptitude for learning and developing negotiation and sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather leads, conduct cold calls, and schedule appointments to develop new business.
• Engage with small-to-medium-sized business owners to introduce products and services.
• Collect business information for pricing analysis and input into databases.
• Gather credit card processing statements for pricing analysis and to understand client financials.
• Follow up with potential clients to advance opportunities.
• Manage the sales pipeline and develop payment strategies for long-term success.
• Meet and exceed sales targets.
