Job summary

Palisadesfcu is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) member services associate in the New York area. You will assist members with telephone and internet requests, explain products and services, and resolve issues within your authority.

You will identify cross-sell opportunities, maintain member records in the core banking system, and support branch tellers as needed. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and strong listening/phone skills.

Qualifications

• Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
• High school education or GED required.
• Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
• Listening and telephone skills; able to operate a 10-key calculator and computer keyboard.
• Able to make decisions with minimal information.

Responsibilities

• Assist existing and potential members with their telephone and internet requests; explains services, responds to problems, and directs phone calls to the appropriate area.
• Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells services to members.
• Ensures the appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
• Maintains member account information in core banking system
• Assists with backup coverage for branch tellers as needed.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.
