Job summary

Teachers Federal Credit Union in New York is seeking a Financial Services Representative to build and deepen member relationships while guiding them to use online banking, the mobile app, and ATMs. You will learn members’ financial goals and tailor solutions to meet their needs.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and strongly developed communication and customer service skills. Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• Minimum one year of general work experience, customer service, call center, sales or branch experience required.
• Minimum of six months cash handling experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, sales, mathematical, problem solving, multitasking and computer skills, and attention to detail required.
• Bilingual Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with new and existing members to understand their financial needs and deepen relationships.
• Process routine financial transactions for members efficiently and accurately (including deposits and withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, IRA) in compliance with regulations and guidelines.
• Provide recommendations and assist members with a wide array of financial solutions to satisfy their spending, savings, borrowing, and investing needs.
• Educate members to bank more efficiently using the web, mobile, and ATM.
• Provide financial education and services to members to help them fit banking into their everyday lives.
• Proactively contact members to schedule appointments to discuss their personal financial goals.
• Perform other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor.
