Advance Auto Parts in Sterling, VA is seeking a Retail Parts Pro to provide expert knowledge of store systems, automotive parts, and DIY services. This full-time sales role supports advanced DIY customers through accurate part identification, troubleshooting, and service delivery.

You will handle customer visits and calls, meet sales goals, manage in-store services such as battery testing and wiper installs, and operate POS and parts lookup systems.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability.
• Speak and write English; communicate effectively with customers and team.
• Read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Understand and execute written or verbal instructions.
• Complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment successfully.
• Accurate basic math in all units of measure.
• Use Microsoft Word and Excel proficiently.
• Strong organizational skills; meet targets and priorities.
• Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation and testing, wiper installs.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Hold key holder responsibilities including safe open/close duties.
• Assist in store inventory processes and back stock management.
• Ensure cleanliness of store and parking lot areas.
