Job summary

El Programa Hispano Católico in Gresham, OR seeks an Adult Wellness Program Coordinator to lead the Hermandad Program, ensuring culturally responsive services that support older adults’ well-being, social connection, and independence through outreach, activities, meals, transportation, and partnerships.

You will supervise staff and volunteers, monitor budgets and data quality, recruit and train team members, and coordinate with funders and community partners to strengthen program delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Public Health, Human Services, Community Health, Social Work, or related field AND a minimum of 1 year of experience or the equivalent of 3-5 years of qualifying training and/or experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English, with strong bicultural competency and effective communication
• Experience with Latinx/Communities of Color required
• Experience working with older adults (60+) preferred
• Strong supervisory and coaching skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with adaptable approach
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools

Responsibilities

• Lead Hermandad Program service operations with Adult Wellness staff
• Develop partnerships with local organizations, clinics, and community leaders
• Develop and lead culturally responsive outreach strategies
• Coordinate social activities and workshops for emotional well-being
• Support congregate meals and activities adhering to nutrition standards
• Lead transportation services for older adults
• Provide culturally specific referrals and assistance in person and by phone
• Maintain coordination with partners and program facilitators to enhance support
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and coaching of staff and volunteers
• Monitor performance, annual reviews, and professional development
• Ensure compliance with funder requirements and data quality
• Prepare and manage budgets and contract expenses
• Ensure accurate data entry and documentation per standards
• Conduct regular file reviews and grant reporting
• Participate in team, department, and funder meetings
• Ensure policies and procedures are communicated and followed
