Meals on Wheels People in Portland seeks a Program Coordinator to manage client intake, needs assessments and volunteer coordination for the Meals 4 Kids program. The role includes training and scheduling volunteers, maintaining accurate records, and cross-training as a backup for staff.

This position requires Spanish fluency, both oral and written, and offers a collaborative, community-driven environment with strong emphasis on service and compliance with program standards.

Qualifications

• Must have fluency in Spanish, both spoken and written.
• Experience coordinating programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to supervise and train volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eligibility assessments with referred families within service area.
• Coordinate the on-time delivery of meals to participants and ensure proper preparation.
• Assist with meal packaging following program standards.
• Assist with scheduling and supervision of volunteers.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with guidelines.
• Maintain records and communicate with kitchen staff, staff, and volunteers.
• Participate in required trainings and meetings.
