Job summary

Manay CPA is a full-service firm in Marietta, GA, seeking an Accounting Associate to join the business operations team. You will prepare, review, and analyze financial reports and individual and business tax returns, with emphasis on bookkeeping, auditing, and budgeting procedures to safeguard the client’s financial health.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree, CPA track, and 2+ years of accounting experience, including tax work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Candidates with a CPA qualification or on a CPA Track will be prioritized.
• Other related certifications (EA, Turkish CPA, ACCA, etc.) will be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
• Experience in a CPA firm is a big plus.
• Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Experience in individual and business taxes is a must.
• International tax experience is a big plus.
• Proficient in accounting software (2 years minimum experience).
• Fluency in Turkish and English.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support client onboarding for all engagements per defined process.
• Engage in client acquisition and retention with high service levels.
• Organize and update financial records (digital and physical).
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, bookkeeping entries, and monthly closing.
• Prepare depreciation schedules, payroll records, and tax returns.
• Collaborate with manager and associates to ensure timely, quality work.
• Prepare year-end audit schedules and assist with internal controls.
• Assist in documenting and testing processes affecting financial statements.
• Support automation of systems and spreadsheets to improve efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
