The BGA Rework Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Fremont, CA, responsible for performing precise rework and repair on BGA and other advanced electronic components. Day-to-day tasks include removing, reballing, and reattaching BGA devices, operating rework stations and related equipment, and conducting x-ray and visual inspections to verify solder joint integrity and compliance with quality standards. The technician will follow detailed work instructions, read and interpret technical drawings and PCB layouts, and document rework processes, results, and any nonconformities. This role collaborates closely with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot assembly issues, support prototype and production builds, and help maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe work environment. The position requires consistent adherence to safety procedures, manufacturing best practices, and SEM’s quality requirements.
This position works in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment supporting high-mix, low-to-medium volume PCB assembly. Morning and evening shifts are available.
