Job summary

Johnson Brothers, a national family-owned wine, spirits, and beer distributor, is seeking a Sales Consultant in Rhode Island. You will manage territory sales, promote products, conduct in-store tastings, and service accounts while merchandising shelves and ensuring accurate inventories.

Requirements include a BA/BS or related experience, strong communication, a reliable vehicle, a valid license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must reside in the territory; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• 4 year BA/BS college degree or related industry experience.
• Prior route sales experience (highly preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Goals and results driven.
• Must have reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to life up to 50lbs.
• Candidates must live in the territory they are applying to (no relocation package).

Responsibilities

• Territory Management: Ensure consistent customer contact; plan and execute sales initiatives; handle issues promptly.
• Selling: Understand products and pricing; make effective presentations; grow business; identify new accounts.
• Merchandising: Use POS to enhance selling; optimize display size, shelf position and standards.
• Servicing: Conduct sales calls, perform inventory checks, minimize order mistakes; rotate products.
• Administration: Adhere to policies; handle paperwork in a timely manner.
