Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Liquor Commission, seeks a Part Time Program Assistant II to support the Beverage Tax Program by auditing reports for completeness and compliance with NH Liquor Laws and Federal Alcohol regulations. Qualifications include an Associate's degree with 1 year of accounting/auditing experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and 1 year of experience OR equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in accounting or auditing work with the responsibility of providing program information to others.
• Valid Driver’s License or access to transportation
• Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority.

Responsibilities

• Acts as an official representative of the agency in explaining, problem solving, using creative licensing with regards to Title XIII laws, administrative rules and procedures and be able to articulate and express solutions to all agency employees, administrative personnel, licensees, and the citizens of the state.
• Provides guidance, information, explanation, problem-solving, and resolution with regards to the State of New Hampshire Alcohol, Beverage, and Tobacco (Title XIII) laws, administrative rules and procedures to agency employees, administrative personnel, licensees, and the citizens of the state.
• Conducts reviews and audits of monthly Beverage Tax Reports to verify there are no discrepancies and to confirm compliance with the rules. Provides assistance to wholesaler, beverage vendor, and manufacturer licensees to ensure completion of forms for accurate filings and evaluates forms for proper filing, verifying proper receipt of funds.
• Provides exceptional customer service while assisting licensing with state liquor laws, overdue payments, monthly reporting, compliance, and rules in person, in writing, and over the telephone in a clear and concise manner.
• Maintains inventory of samples received for product approval by following product receipt procedures, labeling processes, and maintaining the Division’s product sample directory.
