Job summary

Mohegan Sun is seeking a Beverage Supervisor to manage daily beverage department activities and VIP lounges, ensuring adherence to policies and service standards. The role includes training and scheduling staff, maintaining lounge presentation, and monitoring guest intoxication with appropriate intervention measures.

You will collaborate with Stewarding, EVS and Engineering to uphold sanitation and facility standards, while supporting coaching and staffing decisions within the beverage team.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as Beverage Server, Bartender or Butler in a high volume casino environment.
• Excellent knowledge of state liquor laws including proper identification procedures, monitoring intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service and shutoff procedures.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge of shift bidding processes.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the training, evaluating and scheduling of the beverage staff.
• Maintains the overall appearance of lounges including sanitation, food presentation, transfers and requisitioning of supplies.
• Controls access to lounges and guest amenities in the absence of upper management.
• Monitors patrons' intoxication levels and applies refusal of service and shutoff procedures if necessary.
• Maintains par levels of china, glass, silver, and other supplies; coordinates with Stewarding and EVS on sanitation.
• Collaborates with Engineering to maintain outlets' furniture and layout; supports coaching programs for staff.
• Participates in hiring recommendations in accordance with disciplinary procedures.
