Job summary

Mohegan Sun is seeking a bartender to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests at the Uncasville, CT location. You will ensure accurate orders, process payments, maintain bar cleanliness, and adhere to liquor laws including ID verification and responsible service.

Excellent communication and knowledge of beverages, along with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, are essential. Prior bartending experience is required to join our team.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience.
• Thorough knowledge of ice handling procedures and health/sanitation guidelines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of spirits, beers, wines and beverage service techniques.
• Proficiency with call order systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages per recipes and department standards.
• Operate point of sale terminal and perform cashiering tasks.
• Uphold state liquor laws, conduct ID verification, monitor intoxication, and handle refusals/shutoffs.
• Actively upsell products using endorsements at appropriate service opportunities.
• Set up and break down the bar per SOPs and maintain sanitation and cleanliness.
