Job summary

Mohegan Sun is seeking a seasoned Beverage Operations Supervisor to oversee beverage department personnel and VIP lounges, ensuring adherence to policies and steps of service. Regular duties include training, evaluating and scheduling staff, maintaining lounge presentation and sanitation, and monitoring guest intoxication with responsible-service protocols.

Prior experience in a high-volume casino setting is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as Beverage Server, Bartender or Butler in a high volume, complex casino environment.
• Excellent knowledge of state liquor laws including proper identification procedures, monitoring levels of intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service and shutoff procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the training, evaluating and scheduling of the beverage staff.
• Maintains the overall appearance of lounges including sanitation control, overall food presentation and quality, food transfers and requisitioning of supplies and beverages.
• Controls access to the lounges and guest amenities in the absence of upper management.
• Consistently monitors patrons checking levels of intoxication and applies refusal of service and shutoff procedures, if necessary.
• Maintains all par levels of china, glass, silver, paper, plastic and restaurant supplies.
• Works with Stewarding and EVS to maintain health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Works with Engineering to maintain the outlet’s furniture, fixtures and physical layout.
• Assists with on-going coaching programs with line employees to enhance skills.
• Recommends hiring as well as termination decisions in conjunction with the disciplinary process.
