Job summary

Omni Nashville Hotel is hiring a Cocktail/Beverage Server for The Pick, located in downtown Nashville. You will provide efficient, friendly service, maintain a clean bar area, and ensure guests have a memorable experience.

Responsibilities include taking orders, ringing into Micros, delivering to tables, assisting bartenders, and adhering to cash handling standards in a fast-paced luxury hotel lobby environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Familiar with a service bar atmosphere combining with bar.
• Possess an unexpired Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission Server Permit or able to obtain one before hire date.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The objective of all positions is to effectively provide the services personally, or to immediately refer requests to the appropriate department manager. The following is a summary of the major responsibilities of the position.

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage | The Pick

JOB TITLE: Cocktail/ Beverage Server

REPORTS TO: The Pick Manager

JOB PURPOSE

To provide efficient friendly customer service always, and to

maintain a clean professional appearance. Ensuring service bar and bar guests are satisfied in a prompt, timely manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Properly set-up and maintain a clean efficient service area of the bar throughout the shift
• Perform our guest services by using the Moments of Service guidelines
• Responsible for ringing orders into Micros, and delivering orders to the table
• Deliver food orders from kitchen to bar area and return dishes to kitchen
• Continually check back with guests
• Keep all supplies stocked
• Clean, clear and reset service areas
• Protect the hotel from liability with regard to over serving guests
• Complete all duties as assigned by manager
• Assist bartender when needed
• Ensure tables are set up properly
• Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible)
• Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions
• Familiarity with food and drink menus
• Adhere to cash handling standards
• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous serving experience preferred
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Must have strong communication skills
• Must be familiar with a service bar atmosphere combination with bar.
• Possess an unexpired State of Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission Server Permit or have the ability to obtain one before date of hire.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast paced luxury hotel lobby bar environment
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.

ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS

• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
• Requires repetitive motion of arms, and hands.
