Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking a Cocktail Server for a luxury hotel lobby bar in Nashville. You will deliver courteous service, manage bar guests, and assist bartenders to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

You will maintain a clean, professional appearance, adhere to cash handling standards, and uphold safety policies while providing attentive guest service.

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Familiar with a service-bar atmosphere combining with bar.
• Must possess or obtain Tennessee ABC Server Permit prior to hire.
• Must have or obtain Food Handler Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Properly set-up and maintain a clean service area of the bar throughout the shift.
• Ring orders into Micros and deliver to the table.
• Deliver food orders from kitchen to bar area and return dishes.
• Continually check back with guests.
• Keep supplies stocked and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist bartender when needed.
• Ensure cash handling standards are followed.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
• Help guests locate other hotel areas when appropriate.

The following is a summary of the major responsibilities of the position.

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage | The Pick
JOB TITLE: Cocktail Server
REPORTS TO: The Pick Manager

JOB PURPOSE: To provide efficient friendly customer service always, and to maintain a clean professional appearance. Ensuring service bar and bar guests are satisfied in a prompt, timely manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Properly set-up and maintain a clean efficient service area of the bar throughout the shift


• Perform our guest services by using the Moments of Service guidelines


• Responsible for ringing orders into Micros, and delivering orders to the table


• Deliver food orders from kitchen to bar area and return dishes to kitchen


• Continually check back with guests


• Keep all supplies stocked


• Clean, clear and reset service areas


• Protect the hotel from liability with regard to over serving guests


• Complete all duties as assigned by manager


• Assist bartender when needed


• Ensure tables are set up properly


• Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible)


• Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions


• Familiarity with food and drink menus


• Adhere to cash handling standards


• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets


• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess an unexpired State of Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission Server Permit or have the ability to obtain one before date of hire.

Required Certifications: Must possess or obtain a valid Food Handler Certification and Tennessee ABC Server Permit from approved providers upon hire.
