Job summary

Omni Nashville Hotel is seeking a Kitchen Notes Host to warmly greet guests and seat them at a clean table, ensuring excellent service in a dynamic food and beverage environment.

Responsibilities include handling reservations, supporting servers during peak times, and maintaining a professional appearance for guests throughout shifts. Prior OpenTable experience is preferred; weekend and holiday availability is required.

DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage | Kitchen Notes

JOB TITLE: Kitchen Notes Host

REPORTS TO: Kitchen Notes Assistant Manager, Kitchen Notes Manager

JOB PURPOSE: To ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner using appropriate procedures, in accordance with Omni Standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
• Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing clean menu in front of guest.
• Answer phone and record reservations for large parties.
• Control high volume outside of restaurant.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and well-being of guests.
• Assist servers when needed.
• Thank every guest upon departure, invite them to return, and wish them a fond farewell.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 1-year experience as host in similar dining atmosphere.
• Open Table knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.

ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:

• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance.
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
