The Barback role is essential to maintaining the highest standards in the guest experience, ensuring quick, efficient, and professional bar service.

Responsibilities
- Assist in bar setup and opening, as well as closing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Stock bar stations to par and maintain a par level of liquor bottles.
- Maintain clean glassware as needed.
- Be completely familiar with the liquors and beers sold in the bar.
- Greet all guests promptly and courteously.
- Assist and focus attention on bartenders and servers, remaining calm and courteous.
- Have complete knowledge of service times and menu.
- Have complete knowledge of floor plan, table numbers, and seat numbers.
- Deliver food to correct tables according to tickets, floor plan, and seat numbers.
- Always inquire if additional service is needed from guests upon delivery and inform server or manager.
- Clear and disinfect tables before, during, and after service.
- Think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration, and make concise decisions.
- Perform job functions with minimal supervision.
- Ensure work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris, or objects that can obstruct safe, efficient service.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1‑year food runner or DRA experience preferred; other relevant hotel or food & beverage experience considered.
- Clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management, and co‑workers; answer guest questions and describe menu items.
- Handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
- Work cohesively with co‑workers within and outside of your department.
- Prioritize, organize, and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast‑paced environment.
- Exhibit excellent customer service, service recovery, and problem‑solving skills.
- Be TABC certified or have the ability to obtain a valid TABC permit.
- Work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Stand or walk for extended periods or for an entire shift in indoor/outdoor environments.
- Perform repetitive motion of arms, hands, and legs.
