Job summary

Johnson Brothers, a leading family-owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer, is seeking a Sales Consultant for the Charlotte, NC area. You will build customer relationships, provide product knowledge, and perform merchandising activities to support current and new products.

Responsibilities include achieving sales objectives, territory management, in-store tastings, and stocking inventories while maintaining strong supplier relations and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training preferred.
• An understanding of wine and spirits is highly preferred.
• Strong accounting, computer, customer service and interpersonal expertise preferred.
• Must be results-oriented with excellent verbal/written communication; multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Proficient MS Office and CRM software.
• Familiarity with the Charlotte, NC territory is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales objectives and territory management.
• Call on accounts and cover daily routes with an efficient routing pattern.
• Analyze account base and identify opportunities; ensure compliance where applicable.
• Deliver professional sales presentations including promotions and displays.
• Maintain inventory levels and restock shelves.
• Manage accounts receivable and collect payments where permissible.
• Train account staff on priority brands and new products.
• Support openings with opening orders in collaboration with management.
