Job summary

Palmetto Bluff Investments LLC in Bluffton, SC is seeking a Beverage Director to lead the beverage program across club and operations, designing wine lists, cocktail menus, beer, coffee/tea, and managing inventory and cost controls.

The role requires extensive staff training on hospitality, cocktail execution, and beverage knowledge, with a focus on elevating service to a national-scale standard, including nights and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Entrepreneurial spirit to creatively enhance the beverage program.
• 3 years beverage service experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or wine manager.
• 5 years restaurant management experience.
• Experience purchasing liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic products.
• Strong knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, their origin, taste, ingredients, and service
• Knowledge of the local beverage market, its offerings, limits, and beverage-related laws
• Ability to be present at work on assigned schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required

Responsibilities

• Lead beverage program across club and operations departments.
• Develop wine lists, cocktail menus, beer lists, and coffee/tea program.
• Oversee inventory processes, pricing, and cost controls.
• Select and purchase products for related departments.
• Train staff on hospitality, cocktail execution, and beverage knowledge.
• Maintain relationships with related departments for cohesive program.
• Ensure compliance with local alcohol regulations.
• Monitor beverage quality, service standards, and safety.
