Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Solutions Engineer - Systems Integration to advance the electrical, controls, and mechanical integration of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for utility-scale renewables. You will work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop interfaces, and support deployment, qualification, and operational support across project environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
2–4 years of relevant engineering experience in BESS, renewable energy, power systems, controls, or related fields.
Foundational knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and power electronics.
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
Experience with engineering analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Responsibilities

Contribute to systems engineering activities for BESS products from requirements definition through deployment and operation.
Develop and maintain system requirements, ICDs, specifications, and compliance matrices.
Support integration of energy storage, PCS, safety systems, and related BOS components.
Review designs, schematics, BOMs, and submittals; coordinate resolutions with owners.
Travel to factories, laboratories, and project sites for inspections, testing, and commissioning.
