Job summary

NovaSource Power Services seeks an experienced maintenance technician for utility-scale PV plants. You will monitor SCADA systems, perform commissioning, testing, inspection, and repairs on AC/DC solar PV components, and ensure adherence to safety and environmental procedures.

The role requires 2+ years in a related field or applicable certification, with a strong safety background and ability to work independently on-site with limited direction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a related position or journey-level certification.
• Experience with electrical safety, arc flash, LOTO, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and prints.
• Ability to differentiate color-coded wiring; good hand-eye coordination.
• Valid driver’s license; able to travel as needed.
• Completion of NovaSource Technician Qualification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform quarterly KPIs: energy generation vs plan.
• Maintain safe work environment per protocols.
• Complete safety, quality and schedule adherence.
• Follow Job Hazard Analysis and LOTO procedures.
• Carry out PM work: measuring, reading, testing, maintenance on site components.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Plan and execute on-site projects, installations, commissioning, testing.
• Write and enforce testing instructions and procedures.
• Ensure work orders and reports are complete.
• Participate in training and 5S housekeeping.
• Verify SCADA site configuration.
• Adhere to vehicle maintenance standards and safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
