Job summary
CAMS Renewable Services LLC is hiring a Battery Storage System (BESS) Technician in the Ft Stockton, TX area. The role focuses on substation maintenance, HV system troubleshooting, and on-site reporting of conditions and workmanship.
The candidate should have an Electrical Technology Diploma or equivalent experience, 3+ years in substations, NFPA 70E training, OSHA 10, and CPR certification. Willingness to travel up to 20% is required.
Qualifications
- Electrical Technology Diploma or commensurate experience.
- Minimum 3 years' experience Substations (gas circuit breakers, air switches).
- Texas electrical license is desired but not required.
- NFPA 70E, Sub Station Maintenance training certification.
- OSHA 10 - General Industry or Construction Certified and CPR certified.
Responsibilities
- Perform substation preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of HV systems.
- On-site support during BESS construction and commissioning.
- Daily work order execution with quality checks and documentation.
- Prepare reports and participate in safety and site inspections.
- Operate and test high voltage equipment using appropriate PPE and procedures.
