Job summary

CAMS Renewable Services LLC is seeking a Battery Storage System (BESS) Technician in the Ft. Stockton, TX area. You will perform substation preventive maintenance, troubleshoot HV systems, and prepare on-site reports while complying with safety policies.

The role requires 3+ years in substations, relevant electrical certifications, and availability for on-call and weekend work. A company vehicle is provided and a 20% overnight travel expectation is noted.

Qualifications

• Electrical Technology Diploma or commensurate experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience Substations (gas circuit breakers, air switches).
• Texas electrical license is desired but not required.
• OSHA 10 - General Industry or Construction Certified and CPR certification.
• Must be able to become a qualified person per NESC, NEC, NFPA 70F.
• Must be able to commute to the project site near Ft. Stockton, TX daily.
• Must have flexibility to work during weekends and be always available on call.
• Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, manuals, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform substation preventative maintenance and troubleshooting HV systems.
• Prepare and submit quality reports on site conditions.
• Oversee inspections, records, outages (planned and unplanned) and monthly reporting.
• Provide on-site support during BESS construction and commissioning.
• Adhere to safety policies and wear High Voltage PPE as required.
• Perform testing with appropriate PPE and procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics and manuals.
• Coordinate with supervisor and regulatory inspectors as needed.
• Travel up to 20% overnight.
