Job summary

Invenergy’s Yuma Solar facility in Arizona is seeking a Battery Storage Technician to operate and maintain Battery Storage Systems (BESS). You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and support sites across Phoenix and Yuma. The role requires outdoor work, safety discipline, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Ability to climb / work safely from a portable step ladder.
• Ability to understand directions, follow procedures, and complete tasks with minimal oversight.
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• 10% travel.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical, electrical maintenance and inspections on associated equipment.
• Wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a battery storage facility and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime. The work schedule will vary during the peak maintenance periods.
• Support BESS and Solar sites throughout the Phoenix and Yuma areas.
