Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a BESS Field Technician I in Edinburg, TX, for full-time work. Responsibilities include monitoring via SCADA, commissioning, testing, and maintaining utility-scale BESS systems, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Candidates need 1 year of related experience and a high school diploma; college or technical degrees are preferred and military/utility training is a plus. Travel may be required, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a related position.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College or technical degree preferred.
• Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor BESS Plant operation through SCADA.
• Perform commissioning, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of AC/DC BESS systems.
• Work with inverters, transformers, switchgear, and metering systems.
• Adhere to electrical safety and arc flash standards.
• Follow operating, maintenance, safety and environmental procedures.
• Prepare documentation and reports for CMMS.
