LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. is seeking a BESS Field Service Technician to perform field service activities on battery energy storage systems from installation through warranty and long-term O&M support.

This hands-on role requires troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and close collaboration with site teams and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will travel up to 50%, document work accurately, and provide remote support when needed.

Qualifications

• Fundamental knowledge of electrical testing and measurement equipment.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Experience supporting hardware and software troubleshooting activities.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
• Exposure to energy storage systems, power conversion systems, or related electrical equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service activities on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and associated equipment from installation through warranty and long-term O&M support.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance and support troubleshooting and upgrades.
• Document work performed and findings in service tools/work orders.
• Provide remote technical support and customer education on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Coordinate with Senior FSEs, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient service delivery.
