Job summary

Irby Construction Company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support overall project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects within the division. You will help ensure safety, quality, and engineering standards are met while assisting with estimation and labor/material planning.

You will collaborate with the Project Manager and engineering teams to maintain schedules, budgets, and job records; frequent travel to job sites is

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction administration, project coordination, or project management.
• Experience with BESS, renewable energy, or high‑voltage electrical construction preferred.
• Strong understanding of OSHA and industry safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with BESS construction projects from start to finish, ensuring technical quality and specification compliance.
• Review drawings, design documents, and specs prior to execution to confirm adherence.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between design intent and field execution.
• Support project planning, budget tracking, and resource coordination.
• Maintain documentation for meetings, schedules, and change requests.
• Track costs, billings and schedules; report variances to Project Manager.
• Coordinate safety training and compliance reporting.
