BERT OGDEN VOLVO MASTER SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Join our team as a Master Service Technician at Bert Ogden Auto Group.

Position Overview

The Master Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work in accordance with dealer and factory standards. They will also oversee the work of apprentice technicians assigned to them.

Responsibilities

1. Receive repair orders, perform work efficiently and accurately, diagnose malfunctions, and perform repairs.
2. Coordinate with the parts department to obtain needed parts, and handle warranty or customer-requested parts appropriately.
3. Inspect vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is necessary.
4. Communicate with service advisors regarding additional work or issues with repairs.
5. Document all work performed, road-test vehicles as needed, and supervise apprentice technicians.
6. Attend factory training and stay updated with technical bulletins.
7. Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and shop area, and manage dealership tools responsibly.
8. Follow all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal.

Qualifications

• ASE certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and technical information.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Manual dexterity, good judgment, and maturity (must be 21+ and able to pass drug/background checks).
