Job summary

Berklee Global is seeking an assistant to support daily operations, including front line reception, scheduling, and email communications for Berklee on the Road programs. You will process applications, manage payments, and maintain records in FileMaker and other databases in coordination with the Global team.

The role requires a 4-year degree, 2+ years of professional experience, and strong English communication skills; Spanish bilingual capability is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required and customer service experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year in a customer service environment and data entry experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information.

Job description

Job Description
  • Support the daily operations of Berklee Global, including front line reception, meeting scheduling, email communications, and research tasks.
  • Manage the daily processing of applications for 5+ Berklee on the Road programs in consultation with the Associate Director and Global team.
  • Oversee Berklee on the Road (BOR) participant payments and related departmental payment accounts
  • Carry out the regular maintenance of records in the Filemaker and other database systems, reconciling data across all departmental platforms, and support reporting as requested.
  • Support travel planning tasks including liaising with Berklee employees, travel agency and partners.
  • Work collaboratively with student employee team, assigning projects and tasks and tracking progress
  • Answer inquiries about area programs and applications via phone, email, and in-person, using clear and professional language.
  • Support e-mail marketing and communications regarding various stages of BOR program application process, as directed by the Global staff. For bilingual candidates, this may also include translation.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with the Associate Director to obtain project specifications and expectations, and provide deliverable deadlines.
  • Assist in generating social media content for Berklee Global and Berklee Español channels. For bilingual candidates, this may also include translation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • Qualified candidates will have experience that shows they have strong interpersonal skills and are motivated, highly organized, attentive to detail, sensitive to confidential information, mature and responsible. Additionally, candidates will have a demonstrated background in Macintosh desktop and cloud-based publishing tools; and systems such as Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite, FileMaker Pro and Social Media platforms.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in customer service, ideally having worked in a customer service environment for at least 1-year. Additionally, candidates should have experience with data entry.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Additionally, strong candidates may also have the following experience: basic knowledge of CRM systems, graphic design and video editing software; experience with social media accounts and marketing campaigns; knowledge of contemporary music and applications of music technology are a plus.
Language

English (required). Second languages, especially Spanish, are preferred.

Hiring Range

The hourly rate for this role is $25 per hour.
