Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in hospitality, a college degree in Hospitality or Travel & Tourism, and experience with unions and major brands.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a hands-on General Manager at a high-volume, full-service hotel.
• Union experience with UNITE HERE strongly preferred.
• Marriott hotel experience preferred.
• California experience a plus.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with owners, asset managers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all hotel departments.
• Drive guest satisfaction, financial performance and associate engagement.
• Develop and execute long-term plans to grow presence in Berkeley and greater Bay Area.
• Lead a diverse team of department heads; mentor and develop staff.
• Oversee budgeting, revenue management, and cost controls.
