Job summary

Teaching Strategies, LLC seeks a Senior Manager, Benefits and People Operations to lead benefits administration, HR systems, and people analytics. You will partner with brokers, vendors, Finance, Payroll, and stakeholders to ensure compliant, employee‑experience‑driven programs.

The role requires strong organization, data translation into insights, and a collaborative approach to improve processes and outcomes across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years progressive Benefits and People Operations experience.
• 5+ years overseeing employee benefit programs.
• Previous manager experience acting as both a player and coach.
• Experience managing health and retirement plans and vendor relationships.
• Experience administering self-funded medical plans.
• Experience with HRIS systems and employee data management.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing complex employee issues with professionalism and discretion.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily administration of health and welfare programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, retirement).
• Own benefits program operations and ensure compliant administration.
• Collaborate with brokers, carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Serve as escalation point for complex benefits questions.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA and related requirements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement updates.
• Manage monthly benefit billing, reconciliations, and vendor reporting.
• Lead renewals, open enrollment, communications, and new programs.
• Configure benefits in the HRIS and review utilization with vendors.
• Support compensation programs with market pricing.
