Job summary

Tapestry 360 Health is seeking a Benefits Navigation Specialist in Chicago to help uninsured residents enroll in affordable health coverage. You will engage communities, guide enrollment in the Marketplace and Medicaid, and advocate for individuals facing language or other barriers.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 2 years in human services, with potential bilingual Spanish requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years in case work or human services.
• Must complete 30-hour online training and a 2-day training on Marketplace and Medicaid expansion.
• Ability to pass the Illinois Department of Insurance background check.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and communicating in English; Spanish may be required.

Responsibilities

• Engage communities through outreach and education on health insurance options.
• Guide individuals through enrollment in Health Insurance Marketplace and Medicaid.
• Advocate for individuals with language barriers and other challenges.
• Stay up-to-date on eligibility, enrollment requirements, and policy changes.
• Provide referrals and empower individuals to make informed healthcare decisions.
