Job summary

A community health organization in Chicago is seeking a Patient Benefit Specialist to assist patients with understanding their insurance options and financial responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, at least two years of customer service experience, and familiarity with healthcare coverage and financial processes. This role requires excellent communication skills, especially with diverse populations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience.
  • Prior experience with All Kids and Moms & Babies programs preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace insurance regulations preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct benefit orientation and explain financial requirements.
  • Perform financial assessment interviews and screen for eligibility.
  • Assist with program enrollment based on assessment results.
  • Guide patients through the revenue cycle process.
