A minimum of one year of experience is required for this position, preferably in a healthcare setting, social agency, or a similar organization. Familiarity with the health and human services infrastructure, health insurance programs, and public coverage options is preferred. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in front of groups and actively engage the public during outreach activities. It is essential to interact respectfully with diverse cultural and socio-economic populations. Additionally, this role requires travel between different sites and the ability to engage with others in both small and large group settings. Strong skills in developing and nurturing relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders are necessary. The position may involve extended physical activity, such as walking or standing at community events and moving and distributing educational materials. Candidates should be able to communicate enthusiastically with potential enrollees. Proficiency in Microsoft products, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, as well as familiarity with internet-based applications, computer searches, and data entry, is required. Experience in customer service, education, and support is also necessary. A high school diploma is required, while an associate degree is preferred.
