Job summary

Wayne Farms is seeking an Employee Benefit Specialist to serve as the central contact for LOA, disability and FMLA leaves. You will enter leave data, track return-to-work dates and follow up on documentation while supporting the HR Manager and supervisor with related duties.

The role requires experience in leave administration, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Workday or similar HR systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year experience within a human resources generalist environment.
• Leave administration knowledge with FMLA and ADA preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook; Workday or similar system preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication; multilingual abilities a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated with initiative in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage FMLA, Disability and personal leave tasks per policies and legal requirements.
• Enter leave and return-to-work dates in the system and follow up on inconsistencies.
• Respond to benefit questions and assist with claims and enrollment processes.
• Resolve enrollment, marital status and dependent verification discrepancies in Workday.
• Coordinate with Safety/EHS on Workers' Compensation claims and documentation.
• Facilitate communication between employees, carriers, and benefits vendors.
• Lead open enrollment events and inform employees of changes to benefit plans.
• Educate employees on benefit plans and enrollment opportunities.
• Collaborate with HR on employee engagement projects; seek process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
