Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking an Employee Benefit Specialist at the Enterprise, AL plant to serve as the central point of contact for LOA, FMLA and benefits questions. You will enter leave data, resolve discrepancies and support enrollment and dependent verification processes.

You will also assist the HR Manager and plant leaders with leave administration, data accuracy in Workday and coordination with Corporate Benefits on benefit programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in a human resources generalist environment.
• Experience in leave administration with knowledge of FMLA and ADA legal requirements preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use multiple Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; professional with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage FMLA, disability and personal leave tasks; enter leave data and ensure documentation is complete.
• Serve as liaison for employees, benefits and plant leaders; respond to benefit questions and assist with claim resolutions.
• Update enrollment, marital status and dependent verifications in Workday; coordinate with Corporate Benefits and payroll.
• Coordinate with Safety/EHS on Workers' Compensation and ensure documentation is complete and accessible.
• Support open enrollment events and educate employees on benefit plans and enrollment opportunities.
