Job summary

Tucson Electric Power is seeking a Supervisor, Benefits to lead the administration, compliance, communication, and continuous improvement of employee benefit programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement programs, leave administration, wellness initiatives, and related trust activities.

The role partners with Human Resources leadership to develop and implement strategies that support engagement, talent attraction, and retention, while overseeing vendor relationships and ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefits administration, retirement plans, leave administration, or Total Rewards.
• Demonstrated expertise in health and welfare plans, retirement plans, leave administration, benefits compliance, and vendor management.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, IRS, and DOL regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, or mentor team members in an operational environment.
• Experience leading or contributing to benefits projects, implementations, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate benefits administration of employee and retiree health and welfare plans, retirement programs, leave administration, wellness initiatives, and trust activities.
• Reviews and approves complex transactions, analyses, communications, and recommendations; ensures policy interpretation.
• Leads annual benefits activities and opens enrollment, vendor/system implementations, and compliance initiatives.
• Oversee plan funding, trust administration, actuarial valuation support, and related financial reporting.
• Partner with Labor Relations and HR Business Partners on union-specific benefits, retiree programs, and wellness provisions.
