Job summary

U-Haul in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Manager, Benefits reporting to the EVP of HR to lead health, welfare, wellness, and related programs for Team Members and families. You will shape benefit strategy, ensure compliant administration, and manage vendor relationships while balancing cost with value.

You will develop the Benefits Team, lead enrollment and communications, monitor trends, and drive changes that improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in employee benefits or related HR functions.
• 5+ years in leadership, developing professionals.
• Deep knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA.
• Experience with vendor management and renewals.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance or healthcare admin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead benefits strategy and administration for health, welfare, and related programs.
• Oversee enrollment, education, and communications for Team Members.
• Manage vendor relationships, renewals, and RFPs.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA.
• Partner with HR and legal to maintain data integrity and budgets.
• Develop and coach Benefits Team.
